Numerical Analysis Group

Our research is mainly focused on numerical mathematics. We are interested in the numerical solution of time dependent ordinary and partial differential equations, numerical linear algebra, and numerical methods for image processing.


  • 08.12.2017 Awardees for best theses
    (f.l.t.r. Jan Leibold, Simon Kohler, Constantin Carle, Dominic Scheider)

    Our new PhD students Constantin Carle and Jan Leibold have been awarded prizes of the Department of Mathematics at its anniversary celebration. Constantin was awarded as the best student in the technomathematics programm and Jan for the best master thesis related to topics of the CRC. Congratulations to both of them.

  • 27.10.2017 New textbook on Advanced Engineering Mathematics

    Springer has published a textbook in two volumes on Advanced Engineering Mathematics written by Markus Neher.

  • 06.10.2017 CRC workshop

    From October 9th until 13th a CRC workshop "Time Integration of PDEs" will take place in Marburger Haus in Hirschegg.
